St Paddy's Day etc.

What could be more fun than fixing water tanks and lifting a floor up? Gerry fixed the port side water tank which was leaking. He actually had the proper fitting in inventory. The starboard side of the flooring has started to get black marks on it so we thought it should be taken up to see what's going on. A messy job, what with all the black silicone on the bottom (prevent squeaks). Was almost to no avail, there is nothing on the bottom that would cause the staining on the top. The good thing is that I noticed water running into the bilge - the starboard tank was leaking in the same place.

Coral Beach Bar was having a special St Paddy's day event, special food, DJ and prizes. The three of us arrived shortly after 6:00 and found a table. We were hungry and Bill went up to the bar to see about ordering food and was told the kitchen was swamped, come back in maybe 20 minutes! The place was not packed, did they only have one person in the kitchen? Gerry went up and waited more than half an hour to get his drink, ordered a pina colada for me which arrived 45 minutes later (with no rum in it). Did I mention the place wasn't packed? One of the specials was corned beef brisket, was OK but not hot, fries were precooked freezer type, boring. Not in a hurry to eat there again.

There was a 50/50 draw, Bill bought these 3 tickets and generously shared them with us.

Numbers 887, 888, 889 - The winning number was 890! Totally bummed us out (would have won $266). There were 9 more draws for T shirts and wine - we didn't come close.

Another perfect beach day and of course more hermit crabs. The big one had dug a hole underneath itself and the little one was just visiting, kept circling and then just wandered away.

These little birds are almost always on the beach.

I think he was yelling at me for lifting him up. A brave little fellow, usually they shrink back into their shells.

And back to work: minor repairs in Ramblynn and dismantling the solar panels on Dirty Girl to put them to better use.
TB cleaning fish

Ken gave us 3 Skipjack tuna and since neither Gerry nor I care to clean fish we bartered one fish to TB if he cleaned them all. Good deal.
