March 4, day before sailing

Ramblynn is now off the dock, sitting at anchor pending her move to the yacht club (it's a good deal and they're desperate to actually have boats there).

Monday, since all those pesky hurricane lines are off and it's now so simple to leave, we decided we should go sailing. First, get fuel. Why buy it when we have 350 gallons on Dirty Girl just sitting there. Of course this would involve siphoning. I was conscripted to help - diesel fuel tastes awful.

At least I imagine it would - I bet no one thought for a minute that I would suck diesel fuel out of a tank. We have a pump so I just held the hose while Gerry held the booster cables to make the pump run off a battery, then carried the fuel over to Ramblynn which has been handily tied stern to stern with Dirty Girl.
So it's now 9:30 p.m.,  just decided where we'll go, maybe.
