Computer and iMovie

Sometimes the internet is a curse and sometimes it's a blessing. Thanks to many people who like to share their knowledge I found the cure for my computer: start up in safe mode. I suspect leaving it on the bed while charging through an inverter wasn't the best thing to do but the bed is the safest place on a moving sailboat. I think the blankets got too close and it overheated; the MacBook Pro vents through the hinge. And the next day Gerry's computer automatically updated itself and hasn't worked since.
