This Year's Trailer Project

Gerry's gone back to the Bahamas so it's time to renovate.  This time getting rid of the hideous dusty rose dinette cushions and valances.

On Mother's Day I cleaned out the wood box and discovered plywood that would do for the back of 2 of the cushions. Rudy cut them to size for me (thanks) and let me borrow his staple gun. I painted the boards to freshen them up and staple gunned the fabric on to the wood. That just left the bottom cushions for which I had no wood and I'm too cheap to buy any. I thought about duct tape, for a minute or two and then realized that I could use the wood that is already there holding the cushions up. I rounded out the corners and finished the whole job this afternoon.

Next, valances, couldn't just leave the windows blank. Took forever to get them down and taking the lovely gold striping off so putting the fabric on will have to wait until tomorrow.

Photo doesn't do it justice (blue isn't showing up properly), Gerry has the camera and the ipad doesn't take great photos in low light. Material cost $40 and I have enough to do something over the blinds in the kitchen and cover a throw pillow or 2.
