Last day on the island

So much to do, getting 2 boats shipshape and tied down for hurricane season. There's also the jeep and motorcycle to put away.

We discovered this anchor is not holding anything in place.

Check out the colourful sea creatures on the line.

We got new skins for the jeep and put them on, finally. The weather has been so good we didn't need the windows - except the back one to stop fumes from coming in.

Looks like a brand new jeep.
Parked beside Gary's jeep ours is covered with his cover.

thirsty?

I spent a bit of time in the engine room topping up all the batteries (really big ones) with distilled water and trying not to inhale acid fumes, fun fun fun. If I get the splendid opportunity to do it again I'll be able to tell if I've gained weight, I just fit through the gap.

Dan, Margie and their 3 kids (5 year old Peri and 2 year old twins Lumina and Max) have been anchored out in the bay for a number of weeks. Dan has been a very helpful handyman fixing up 2 outboards, jeep, etc., as well as placing that aforementioned anchor back out into the bay. The first attempt was less than successful as the tied-together line separated. Fortunately Margie volunteered to dive for it. Peri has been good company and I will miss her. Maybe they'll come back next winter.
