Such a lot to do before heading south and I've added to things by buying this trailer at Wildwood Lake. I'll be spending next summer there - right across the lake from the sailing club - how handy is that?

Summer's over

Another Boat - this one mine!
This is the Capri - a 25 Bayfield which needs some work (= a steal) before she sets sail in Wildwood Lake. She'll be among the biggest boats there and the only one of her kind. Capri means "unpredictable" here and "playful" in Italy. I think it's quite an apt name.

Wasn't the best day to drive to Toronto (near Ontario Place) to pick up a boat - last day of the CNE, the air show was on and the Labour Day parade. Going in was fine but getting back out took longer and longer still because the doohickey (that's a technical term) that connects the trailer lights to the truck was missing so the boys had to splice wires together. It's good to have a man or 2 around. Thanks to my great friends Rudy, Ellen (in photo) and Gerry, the boat made it safely to the farm where she'll get the TLC she needs. Also, thanks to Gary for finding the boat. Guess I owe him more baked goods for this one, the jury's still out on his first find LOL.

Feels good!
Another Road Trip - MD and PA
Another quick trip to the US of A. This time to Annapolis to visit Gerry's old friends Sandi and Carl.
Toured the Naval Academy - they weren't giving out samples.
And then up to PA to visit Pony-tail Richard and acquire some treasures (i.e. closed cell foam to make cushions for the Matilda). Attended the Music Fest - the boys are a bit inebriated.
Fries and Wildwood
An honest days work. What's that? Me working?????
Deb braved the waters at Wildwood (and our seamanship). She's trying to slap the buoy at the bridge. On our way back up the lake we put her to work - apparently so much so that she had sore hands the next day LOL.
Our nemesis - we now outgun them with our fantastic arsenal (top secret so I can't show it here).

I hear the train a comin', it's rollin' round the bend....
