Adventures with Peter

The dinghy motor is not running and instead of finding a way to tow it to a ramp Gerry decided to row it through the canal, out into the ocean and over to Taino Beach. A fellow Canadian, renting the smallest apartment, Peter, not knowing what he was getting into, volunteered to help.
Leaving the dock

After almost 2 hours of rowing, the last part against the wind and the waves they arrived.

Tied to trailer to the jeep and with the help of a helpful tourist hauled her out.

Adventures with Bill

It's been chilly since our return to the Bahamas. One day we decided to search out Josey's Cave that I accidentally found on the internet and no one at our little compound has ever heard of. So off we went to Holmes Rock and actually found the place. It's a pleasant short walk through the bush circling around through Fern Gully (really big ferns).

The villagers used to hide in the cave to escape hurricanes.

We traveled on down to West End, still absolutely nothing going on here.

On the return we stopped at Suzie's so Bill could experience the warehouse shopping experience.

Final stop was Fishing Hole Road which often takes a beating from hurricanes. They've rebuilt once again and despite being there between the posted hours none of the 3 places was open. Maybe next time.
